GREEN THUMBS

Get your hands dirty and connect with nature in our Green Thumbs program at the George Gray Centre! This program is perfect for anyone who loves gardening or wants to learn more about growing their own plants and vegetables.

Participants will engage in a variety of gardening activities, from planting and watering to harvesting and maintaining garden beds. Along the way, they’ll learn about sustainable gardening practices, including composting and caring for different types of plants. Green Thumbs provides a wonderful opportunity to explore the outdoors, develop new skills, and enjoy the satisfaction of watching something you’ve planted grow and thrive.

Gardening is not only a calming and rewarding activity but also a great way to boost physical fitness and mental well-being. Plus, participants get to take home their produce or contribute to community meals, adding a sense of pride and purpose to their work.
